Papaya v. Mexican Papaya v. Mexican Cooking papaya

Papaya v. Mexican Papaya v. Mexican Cooking papaya...so what is the difference?  Best I can tell they're the same with different degrees of ripeness

I think many of us are used to seeing the Hawaiian papayas which are more "personal sized" with a softish golden skin color. The Mexican ones are larger and more green.
