I don't think that's a cake at all. I think those are hatboxes repurposed as a religious icon. Clearly these people were up to their necks in hatboxes.

I actually thought at first glance they were masks printed with strips of bacon.

I hope this link is workable. It was on a facebook page and I couldn't figure out how to download and then upload the video.

Clickety

It might better be entitled "food aftereffects funnies." Or perhaps I should have posted it in Food in the Pandemic.

This is hilarious!    Husband has an ongoing war with mice who miraculously snatch the acorns, chunks of fruit, walnuts, peanut buttered crackers, you name it, from traps.    He even WIRES down the lures.    We only catch the dimwits and clumsy.

The New Yorker cartoonists usually nail it

A former/sometime colleague mentioned on LinkedIn that she'd made risotto for supper, but her youngster'd had a minor meltdown over the idea and was adamantly opposed to even trying it.

When she brought him his bowl, he glared at it suspiciously. "What's this?" he demanded.

"You said you didn't want risotto," she told him, "so I just made you some cheesy rice."

Said "cheesy rice" was devoured quite happily. :P
