The Breslin (at Ace Hotel)

I'm heading out to New York in a few months and we've looked at The Breslin and really like the look of the menu, particularly the terrine boards! Has anyone visited The Breslin, I'm interested to hear any opinions.

It is good. I'd go for weekday breakfast or lunch. Love the caesar salad, terrine boards, lamb burger, fries, three cheese sandwich, and the vegetable sides are usually good. Pretty good cocktails. The food can be quite heavy and salty though. The wait can get pretty long for dinner.

I concur with Kathryn. The food is very good, although not in any way to be considered light. I've been for the whole pig feast, and all of the elements were delicious. The pig itself had great crisp skin and flavorful, juicy meat. It came with two (unnecessary but delicious) sauces, one green, one red. It also comes with the caesar salad, which is an excellent classical version. The sides were also first rate. I'd recommend going on "non-prime" hours, as they don't take reservations except for large groups, and the wait can be quite long.

It is good. Stayed at the Ace a couple of times and that helped a bit on the line as we were able to make reservations, even on Valentine's Day and the bar is a pretty chill place to hang out. I find the food is good - I had the lamb burger but it is just good comfort food, not necessarily anything that you are dying to try. I thought the terrine board was good but not amazing.
