The Leeds Kitchen by James Martin

Recommended Posts

A succinct commentary, Bapi.

Arse, indeed.

But, at least, there are as yet no claims that this is going to be "THE ONE" which will bring a Michelin star back to city. A claim which seems to accompany just about every new local opening, except Pizza Express.

May this be the first time Manchester has had a 'true' celebrity chef open up? Even nowadays the general public have not a clue who Heathcote is.

This actually might work?

Could a Leeds man save Manchester? :-)

Michael Caines? Gary Rhodes? Andrew Nutter?

Gary Rhodes has had a couple of places in manchester IIRC. Nowhere current.

And yes, Andrew Nutter was a bit tongue in cheek, though he did do a fair bit of tv a few years ago.

Not sure why any of this matters though, why a James Martin branded restaurant should necessarily lift the pretty dismal standard of Manchester dining?
