hi Sheff,

HNY to you too.

Could you be a bit more specific about where you're going to be? Dartmouth? Eastbourne?

Wherever it is, for accommodation go to tripadvisor.com and look at the inns/b&Bs tab for whatever your location is. Wherever you are on the south cost there is bound to be a highly recommended b&b.

If you are in Dorset may I suggest the following

Hix Oyster and Fish House, Lyme Regis - http://www.hixoysterandfishhouse.co.uk/

Crab House Cafe, Weymouth - http://www.crabhousecafe.co.uk/

The Print Room, Bournemouth - http://www.theprintroom-bournemouth.co.uk/ - I recently visited here's my blog post with photos - http://lostinthelarder.blogspot.com/2010/01/print-room-bournemouth.html

I usually like Westbeach in Bournemouth - http://www.west-beach.co.uk/

I also recommend Stanwell House in Lymington, namely the Bistro (you have to walk past reception to get there). I haven't tried their Seafood restaurant and I've always avoided the light lunches, and have been pleasantly surprised by some of the things that have turned up on the Bistro menu (ie; sweetbreads, pigeon salad, chicken liver stew) - http://www.stanwellhousehotel.co.uk/resources

Sheff, I'm disappointed, I really want to eat Martin Burge's food and when you mentioned Whatley Manor, was hoping you were going to treat us to a cracking review.

Any chance you can elaborate on the highs and the lows, perhaps
