Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 c garlic jelly or red pepper jelly, or cranberry chutney
  • 1 round brie or camembert cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T water

Roll puff pastry into a 14 inch square. Spread jelly in a 4 inch cirlce in the middle of the pastry. Place the cheese over the jelly. Fold pastry around Brie, and trim extra dough. Pinch edges to seal tightly.

Place seam side down on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush with egg and water mixture. Use extra pastry to decorate top of Brie.

Bake at 400 for 20 - 25 minutes or until puffed and golden.

Serve warm with crackers.
