Middle Eastern Food in Denver

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a Middle Eastern restaurant or two in Denver?

Greek, Lebanese, North African, Arabian, even tandoori 'staurants in a pinch!

Thanks in advance.

Brünnhilde, so help me, if you don't get out of the oven and empty the dishwasher, you won't be allowed anywhere near the table when we're flambeéing the Cherries Jubilee.

I've not been to any of these places, but my brother, who lives in Denver and is not entirely unreliable on food matters, recommends:

  • Garbanzo for Mediterranean fast food (he compares it to the Chipotle chain);
  • Jerusalem for cheap (the place is not very clean and the service can be iffy, but the food is usually very good); and
  • Sahara for the closest thing to upscale dining (without actually being upscale) in the category.

Do let us know what you find!

Thanks, Dave. I'll try all of them and report back when I can.

House of Kebab is one I've heard about, so I'll try that one too.

  • 4 weeks later...

Garbanzo for Mediterranean fast food (he compares it to the Chipotle chain)

Very comparable, very "middle of the road", but I've eaten there a couple of times and enjoyed the food, especially the tomato cucumber salad.
