london lunch summer 2009

Recommended Posts

since i dont want to go to maze again like last year, i am looking for a nice lunch for 3 people around 50 pounds per person including service but without wine. the bigger the diversity in the dishes (like i would rather have lots of small plates than 3 large)

pudding is not required but would be welcome.

i was thinking of claridges or le gavroche.

anything else you would like to suggest?i would like to go this thursday if its possible

for £50 the le gav set lunch is hell of a deal.

I suppose if you want tapas style food you can head down to Cambio de tercio for actual tapas or Sketch (set lunch £35).

i didnt like sketch that much when i went last year :/

too ambitious but didnt deliver

the service was amazing though

Gagnaire's food is very cerebral for sure... makes you THINK long and hard about what you are eating. Mind you they hv had a recent change of chefs but they are still cooking Gagnaire's food...
