Hot London Recomendations Please

Recommended Posts

I am going to be in London during July. The first time since last year. I would appreciate any recommendations for restaurants that have opened or dramatically improved in that time. Any type of cuisine, but I am particularly intrigued by molecular gastronomy (even if not openly declared as such).

Thanks!

Hibiscus and Texture are two recent(ish) openings with some reasonably adventurous options, both very central... for a full-on mg-experience-even-if-not-openly-declared-as-such I believe Bacchus in Shoreditch is still one of the most unusual, though it doesn't count as new or dramatically changed.

I go to bakeries, all day long.

There's a lack of sweetness in my life...

I'd second Bacchus for and interesting meal in London.

Also if you really want to go for it then the fat duck is a quick train and taxi journey from London, easily be done if your staying in London.

Also as a contrast to MG you may want to try St John or St John Bread and Wine.

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

Gratzi Humungous to all respondants. You all have great palettes. Did Bacchus last year and it is a cracked diamond. Recommended to seriously adventurous foodies. St. John is my long time favorite (despite sagging service in recent years) but I haven't done Ditto Bread & Wine Yet -- maybe that is the one.

I plan on scanning Square Meal before I make a final pick -- Thanks!
