Have you been in Uruguay?

Recommended Posts

Let's say an american chef visits Uruguay, what would you recommend him to visit and to do? Which have been your most thrilling adventures there as an american tourist? What you think is unique and would impress any visitor?

Thanks!

Every visitor is different, there's simply nothing, anywhere, that will impress every one of them.

My most interesting experiences were visiting the vineyards outside of Colonia and outside of Montevideo. I love walking along the rambla (boardwalk) in Montevideo. Having a casual bite to eat at any of a dozen places in the Mercado del Puerto. And, of course, you can't miss a chivito uruguayo at one of the Marcos outlets!
