Okay I love deviled eggs, but this makes me queazy

That awesome!! And a bit revolting. Thanks for sharing.

I once had a dream that I made and ate a giant scotch egg, but I hadn't considered it could be an ostrich egg. I figured it was a giant chicken from HG Wells' "Food of the Gods".

I've always wanted to make a basket of spicy wings but use big turkey wings instead of chicken, now I'm thinking Ostrich!

I just made a cornish game hen with chestnut stuffing. . .

Would you believe a pigeon stuffed with spam? . . .

Would you believe a rat filled with cough drops?

Is it just me or did that yolk seem a bit underdone to anyone else?

And yes, it looks revolting - would be revolting even if the yolk were cooked through because one of the things that makes devilled eggs appealing to me is the proportion of yolk to white - that perfect contrast in taste and textures between between the yolk and white in each bite. Something well nigh impossible to achieve with an ostrich egg unless you have a mouth the size of Shrek.

thanks, I like to switch it up with the japanese dwarf flying squirrel. I'm a big fan of funny pictures.

How much mayo went into that deviled egg? I bet his breath and farts stunk for a week.

ROFLMAO!

The deviled ostrich egg is an interesting idea, but also definately revolting.

I'm pretty sure that yolk looks translucent because it's underdone. Although I'm not sure how to properly time a hard-boiled ostrich egg, myself.

You were not the first to dream that dream--cf. Piero della Francesca's slumbering baby and what's suspended high above the quiet group.* It's definitely not deviled, though.
