Lunch in Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

We have a lot of discussions here about Las Vegas dining, but it typically focuses on dinner. I'll be going back to Vegas in early July and am looking for LUNCH ideas. Last year, I can only think of one really nice lunch that I had, and that was Bouchon on Sunday. If I go back to Bouchon, I'd probably want to to dinner this time (and maybe back again for a breakfast).

So, what are some nice spots for lunch? I'll be staying on the strip at TI and I tend to pretty much spend all my time on the strip (yeah yeah, but I like it there and it's easy to get from hotel to hotel)

I second Lotus of Siam. Mind you, order from the menu. Do NOT get the lunch buffet.

Speaking of buffets, the Bellagio buffet is pretty good with a huge variety of items.

Also at the Bellagio is Sensi with an open glass-encased kitchen in the middle. If you want something to-go, JP Patisserie have savory crepes along with their world-class pastries. One savory crepe, and pastry and a drink will cost you under $20.

At Paris Las Vegas, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant has really good food and if you get there before noon, you can see the Fountains of Bellagio from one of the window tables. Check out my post in the "French Restaurants in Las Vegas" thread.

If you want to think "outside the Strip," Memphis Championship Barbecue is really great. The closest one is about southeast from the airport on Warm Springs Rd., west of Eastern. And way out in Henderson is Settebello, pizzeria napoletana, located on 1776 Horizon Ridge Parkway, west of Valle Verde Dr. And in the same plaza across the parking lot is a wonderful cheese and wine place called Valley Cheese and Wine.

Of course, there's In-N-Out Burgers on 2900 W. Sahara Ave. , west of the 15 Freeway.

I've seen the Lotus of Siam suggestion many times. Maybe I'll finally give that a go this year. In-n-Out is good, but I've been many times to locations in the L.A. area.

The idea of the Eiffel Tower Restaurant is interesting. Wouldn't think they would be open for lunch. I really do love French food and plan to hit some places for dinner (Daniel Bolud, maybe Bouchon again).

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Keep 'em coming.

If you want cheap and quick sandwiches Capriotti's is a great choice, I believe they have two Vegas locations, one just off the strip next door to the World's Largest Giftshop and also one in Henderson.

The Bobby is recommended, its a turkey dinner on a roll.

  • 4 weeks later...

I think I'll do Lotus of Siam. Many suggest it. Hopefully, I'll be able to get people to not only go with me, but also to NOT eat the buffet.
