Four Story Hill Farms

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of any retail purveyors in NYC? Would love to try cooking the chicken/pork or whatever I can get my hands on...maybe even do some comparison tastings!

I asked about this a while ago and found that it can be tricky. As far I know, it's not sold retail so you have to know someone.

Thanks, Bryan. I did get a pm from another poster who gave me the info about contacting the owners of the farm directly...however, it's doubtful that they'll only sell me a chicken or two!

I probably got the same PM. It's worth considering for you, but given my location in NC it didn't seem to make sense. I'd be excited to see what us lay folks can do with the chicken in a home environment.

Your best bet is to be or know a regular at a restaurant that uses Four Story Hill's products, and to ask the chef if you can be included in an order. Happens all the time.

If you want something close in quality, however, the D'Artagnan products farmed by Eberly and others are quite excellent.

Eberly is a fantastic chicken. Even better is North Wind Farm in Tivoli NY...
