    Bisque

I was there when it first opened - odd decor of nice wood bannisters and booths and then the upper half is painted air ducts/vents. Anyway, the two bisques soups that I had were fabulous, and I had the king crab legs - they were as big as my arms. The food was a tad pricey, but I haven't been back. I think it's because there are no windows in the place. And the waiter had no idea what was on the menu, nor anything about alcohol. I surprised it's stayed open this look - the outside just doesn't attract customers.
  3. The Chef, John Russo used to work at Tao in the city....he wanted to do the menu and the decor similiar to that.
  4. I have to say I like Baja in Hoboken, but then again I don't like extremely authentic Mexican. I lived in South Orange for 6 years and Toro Loco is great authentic Mexican. I go to Baja for the intense selection of margaritas, and becareful on some of the dishes - anything labeled with cilantro is and overdose - but I've always had an extremely funny waiter, and although it's always busy there the service has been great.
  5. I love the spinach artichoke dip at Cafe Winberie
  6. El Prado is at 26 W. Ridgewood Ave, on the Midland Park side of the train station.
  7. Last night 5 of us went to El Prado, a very small bring your own Spanish restaurant. The service was very slow, and the menus not very extensive, but the food was good. I had an excellent whole snapper, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I saw lots of people doing take out. Owner is Dora; she is very nice.
