  1. I am jealous - SF is my favorite US city to visit. I was there only 2 months ago and stayed right across the street from Sir Francis Drake in Union Square (Handlery Hotel) and the concierge recommended Kuleto's as one of his personal favorites (221 Powell St - ok, yeah, I had to look up the address on MapQuest). My husband and I thought our dinner was reasonably priced and pretty darn delicious!
  2. Ok, I know there are many coffee-heads out there, and pardon me if a topic like this has been started before (I couldn't find one, though), but please share what kind of espresso maker is in your home kitchen. I have a Francis X1 (in red) - so beautiful! What about you?
  3. I bought a Francis machine as well from wholelattelove and was very satisfied. I bought mine about a year ago (fire engine red!) and absolutely love it. If you like to have an "interactive" coffee-making experience, this is a good machine.
  4. Yeah, I was enjoying a double americano from my ever so wonderful Francis! machine, when an alarmingly large mosquito flew at my head...at that point, one tip of the mug caused the coffee to end up all over my desk. I think I should have let it bite my face rather than dealing with the mess I had to clean up.
  5. A handful of peanut m&m's. Isn't that what you should always have an hour before lunch?
  6. It is apparent all you "easterners" have your favorites, but how about the west coast? Personal favorite is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. No particular favorite food, but the smell of funnel cakes and corn dogs is what I like the best. Anyone else been there?
  7. Yes, I believe you are correct...don't particulary like that either.
  8. I must agree with those of you that like Guinness - my absolute favorite. Although I live only about 5 minutes away from the Anheuser-Busch plant in Colorado, I do not like their beer. For those of you that do, I apologize, but do have to admit that their fresh beer tasting on the tour isn't too shabby at all. As for local brews, New Belgium and Odell's in Fort Collins are really excellent!
  9. My husband and I eat out probably only once a week. We much prefer to cook at home (a lot healthier and cost effective that way!) Same as fresco, we like to eat on the patio...it's a lot more intimate for getting together with friends, too. We would MUCH rather cook a meal for company than take them to a restaurant.
