Last night was pie night. Chicken pot pie and individual blueberry galettes.

Tonight's dinner was my slightly deconstructed and somewhat bastardized Poulet Cocotte Grand Mere with new potatoes and peas. And for dessert, vanilla bean ice cream topped with chopped dark chocolate covered espresso beans.

Last night's dinner was chicken salad and banana bread with maple cinnamon cream cheese.

Tonight's dinner was creamy chicken soup with leeks, celery, onion, mushrooms and spinach, and sliced bolillo rolls topped with roasted garlic and parmesan, and broiled until slightly crispy.

Orecchiette with vodka sauce and Italian sausage. Since, orecchiette translates to "little ears," I've decided to name this dish Van Gogh Vodka Pasta.

Chicken Tikka Masala over Basmati Rice with just a bit of turmeric added for color.

Last night's dinner was a parmesan polenta cake with creamed spinach and spicy shrimp. Red wine portobellos were my side dish.

Okay, that last part isn't true. I'm slightly rusty, and a bit frayed at the edges. I love food, and if you saw my backside, you'd know that wasn't a lie!
