No, they're much more realistic than that! They're kinda cool.

Even I have 5 candles like this. I have used them across my living room. One of those I've used just behind a Buddha statue at the corner of my living room. It's one of my favorite places to sit and meditate near it. Also, the flames of the candles are random. As in they aren't much mechanical and flicker at a random rate. This gives a realistic feeling to them. I highly recommend buying one of these. There are a lot of ways in which you can use it across your house.

Owning a business of any kind is filled with small and large headaches. Staff are an ongoing challenge, the building almost always has problems, eg plumbing, that arise intermittently, & health safety inspections  are never fun.

There are a few careers where I think you should feel a "calling" if you are going to enter them, because other wise they will eat you up. Restaurant owning is one.

Disclaimer...I was never in the restaurant business

Good explanation! It's quite true. There are a whole lot of things to figure out before you start your restaurant business. You must do the market research and ensure that the business is feasible and expected sales are tangible. Once you've started the restaurant, new issues come into play just like @gfweb said. If all goes well, it's pure joy to have a restaurant of your own which is being liked by the customers and everyone. But the factors which you need to have a check on, are innumerable.

I know about the existence of this one:

Wine Grapes: A Complete Guide to 1,368 Vine Varieties, Including Their Origins and Flavours

it's considered a great reference but never had a chance to give a look.

As far as I know vitis labrusca and other American grapes were imported to Europe and are still cultivated here in Italy. Our laws forbid to produce wine from grapes different than vitis vinifera, but there are farmers that still cultivate those species and produce "outlaw wine" from them.

This is a great book. I was recommended this book by a friend of mine who is a Wine Sommelier. This book has an extensive collection of different wines and their origins. If you're interested to know Wines in depth this book is your answer. You would be shocked to know some of the weirdest Wine types made from sources which you couldn't have imagined.

    When was it?

Where was it (restaurant, home or other)?

    How did it come about?

What did you think of it?

    What did you like most?

What did you not enjoy at all?

Was it love or hate that first time?

How did it change your eating habbits, or has it?

Have you ever cooked it at home?

Have you introduced it to other non-Indians?

What have their first reactions been?

What dishes do you think ought to be used for the first introduction to this complex and varied cuisine?

1)The first time I tried any Indian Food was back in 2012 when I and a couple of friends had gone backpacking in the foothills of Himalayas.

2)We had our base camp at Rishikesh and it was in one of the local dhabas that we first tasted any Indian food.

    3) The dish was called "thali"(cuisine meaning in Hindi). It had a variety of dishes, including Rice, dal, Indian bread (naan) and a variety of vegetables. Of that, I just loved the "Palak Paneer". It is a lip-smacking vegetable dish made up of Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) and a gravy that mostly includes Spinach

4)Palak Paneer is by far my most favourite Indian Dish.

    5) After our trip ended, I did try that dish again in a couple of Indian restaurants in my city.

    6) Being a food enthusiast, I even tried cooking the dish at home. I downloaded the recipe from the internet. However, I could not get all the Indian spices that were mentioned in the book.

    7) Yes, I have introduced the dish to my other non-Indian friends and they have absolutely loved it. I am even experimenting with cooking other Indian dishes as well. So far I have tried my hand at cooking Malai Kofta, Chicken Tandoori, and Hyderabadi Biryani. So far the verdict of my friends who have tasted these dishes has been good. This encouragement has nudged me to try my hands at cooking other Indian delicacies as well.
