  1. Should've updated this earlier - but the tempering machine has found a new home at the local community college.
  2. I have an ACMC tempering machine with an extra bowl I'm looking to sell. I replaced the temperature probe a bit over a year ago and that seems to be accurate. It's just too large for my current purposes. Located in Sunnyvale California (SF Bay Area). Asking $500, open to offers.
  3. Inspired by your posts, I picked up the Creami yesterday afternoon (BB&B had it in stock with coupons!) I froze most of a can of pineapple to see what would happen, also made a low calories coconut milk base that I'll try with some cookie dough later today (recipe from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0-RiyKmoOA). Took some pictures after each spin, decided to do a Sorbet run and two re-spins to see what would happen. It was smooth after the first run, but kept getting smoother and tasting slightly less sweet. It's in the freezer again now so we'll see how it scoops later, but it was perfect right out of the machine. I'll have more updates as I try more out! Frozen canned pineapple + juice from the can First spin: Second spin (re-spin #1) Third spin (re-spin #2)
  4. This isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but “Foods of the Kingdom of Bhutan” is a really interesting book. Peppers and garlic do show up in it though
  5. When I was in Sedona last year, I picked up Jeff Smedstad's Elote Cafe Cookbook and Elote Cafe Notebook and have basically been cooking from them since. Probably from the notebook a bit more than the first book, but everything has been delicious.
  6. Have you tried contacting Kitchen Arts and Letters (http://kitchenartsandletters.com/auto-draft-3/)? They were really helpful when I was looking for some older magazines. It was a few days after I submitted the form until they responded. Also, Adam Kuban had an article on Serious Eats about the Jan 1941 issue (https://www.seriouseats.com/2009/10/first-premiere-issue-of-gourmet-magazine-january-1941-vol-1-issue-1.html), his contact info is on that page, perhaps try reaching out to him. Good luck!
  7. As an update - I was actually able to find them all! Kitchen Arts and Letters had most of them, Chocolat-chocolat in Montreal had #11, and Söders gourmet in Stockholm had #8. Thanks for your help.
  8. Thanks gfron1! I've contacted a few of them but so far no one has them. I'll keep trying though.
  9. Hi all, I’ve been lurking for awhile but figured it was finally time to join! I’ve been looking for some of the older issues of the So Good magazine and was hoping I could purchase them from you. Specifically, I’m looking for issues 1,2,3,4,6,8, and 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m located in California. Thanks!
