  1. In terms of the Korean BBQ places, they turn the kalbi and bulgogi when there are only male patrons at the table. When there is a lady there, it's expected that she will handle the cooking of the meat. Not sure if this is always customary but that's at least what my Korean friends have said.

    I agree. I went to Snackbar right around when it opened and was throroughly unimpressed.

    Hoi sin sauce and cocktail sauce...not together of course
  4. An excellent (Beijing?) eggplant dish that's simply steamed with black vinegar, soy sauce and lots of garlic...yummm...

    Bouley

    Thinking about going to Bouley for their Pre-fixe lunch. Other than the shrimp appetizer as a must, are there any other suggestions regarding the choices? I read the string but couldn't figure out if there was a concensus on the chocolate souflee.
