I am not a wine drinker, so rarely have it around the house. I prefer to have a sweet wine anyways, which would not have worked for this recipe. But it tasted just fine to me, I would make the recipe again without it.
We eat a lot of eggs. Usually have them in omelets since the possibilities are endless there. Usually only have chicken eggs on hand. We do scrambled eggs from time to time and also love to do make ahead breakfast casseroles.
If a recipe calls for red wine, do you always put it in? Last night my soup called for it but I did not have any. Can I just leave it out and add more broth if the recipe calls for broth?
A delicious soup that I just tossed together. A pound of stew meat that cooked all night long, then added a can of beef broth, some carrots, two cans of diced tomatoes, a drizzle of olive oil, and a can of mushrooms. Delicious.
Today I met up with a former coworker at a local pizza joint. This pizza here is to die for. They had a buffet so needless to say I stuffed myself with BLT pizza, taco pizza, and of course some great salads.
Anyone got any suggestions for cabbage recipes? What is your favorite way to have it? Store had it on sale this week so I picked up a few heads myself.
A great recipe to try is just taking pretzel rods and dipping into chocolate. They are so good and are perfect for when you crave chocolate or something salty. You can go out and decorate them with sprinkles as well.
I am drinking a delish glass of Rhubbarb wine from a local winery. We had it at a cousin's wedding and it was so good. Had to buy a case just for myself. It is from the Amanas.
