  1. In a country lucky enough to receive HC, is the 3y.o. the best option for a daiquiri, or should I be hunting out the anejo blanco?
  2. Just £20 in Waitrose for this blanco! Total bargain, very sippable to my rookie pallate.
  3. I enjoyed this earlier this week, even if my only remaining gin wasn't top quality. http://cocktailvirgin.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/louis-special.html I could see bumping up to 3/4 or 1oz each improving it vastly.
  4. These make the world of difference on a dry shake! Not only did my whiskey sour come out nice and frothy, but most of it ended up in the glass rather than over me. Next step - Ramos Gin Fizz.
  5. My Koriko tins finally arrived - and wonderful they are too. I umm-ed and arr-ed a good while before purchasing, but unlike the bottle of Fernet I picked up last night, I can see me using them a lot. A good excuse for another drink...
  6. I have been experimenting with some basic dry shake drinks lately (Ramos Gin Fizz, Morgenthalers Amaretto Sour). I have a no-name boston shaker, and when I dry shake there's more than a little leakage between the tin and glass. Would the Koriko tins give me an improvement on this? Strainer looks nice but might have to wait until payday: http://www.cocktailkingdom.com/Koriko-Hawthorne-Strainer-Stainless-Steel-p/str_korikohawx_0000_stl.htm
  7. Nice to meet you all on eG. Restock of Campari, and babby's first bottle of Tanqueray. I've only used Beefeaters up until now, but the Tanq was actually cheaper for a change. They made a very nice Perfect Negroni yesterday evening.
