Catching up with January! This month’s lunches out were nothing new, just more of the same - which is very good, in my opinion! The month began with a burger and fries on Galveston Island’s West End, at Nate’s in Jamaica Beach. Up next, was an avocado topped burger with cheese fries at Houston’s Hobbit Cafe. Then, back to the Gulf Coast for Fried Shrimp - on the deck at San Leon’s TopWater Grill a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday on the Island, ‘To Go’ from Shrimp ‘n Stuff’s Jamaica Beach food truck.

Haven’t done much cooking lately that called out for a photo, but last night’s did. Sauteed Chicken Breast, Oven Roasted Goose Fat Red Potatoes and steamed Asparagus

Thank you! Strictly vintage - safe on the stove top, in the oven and in the microwave! I have three in varying sizes. One I’ve had since the 70’s and I got the other two at a friend’s garage sale about ten years ago in exchange for helping her set up the sale. I just love them, too.

Dinner tonight from the last of Friday’s lunch leftovers (Street Taco filling, grilled vegetables and refried beans) with a couple of warmed flour tortillas and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
