  2. Patrickamory - thanks. The fried shallots are key. Cha Misua is Hokkien. My written Chinese is rusty so I don't know the charactersAnd I checked the package of my misua. It's made with flour so probably wheat not rice.

I used this post as a basic recipe but tweaked some ingredients based on availability.
