  1. Hi everyone talking about Mangalitsa! It is the best pork ever to come into the US. Grower Heath Putnam, growing Wooly Pigs Mangalitsa, sells non-breeders to Mosefund (who sells parts mostly frozen to the public), and Heath is selling all parts of the Mangalitsa, FRESH, to DeBragga, New York's Butcher! Folks, you can buy anything you want of mangalitsa -- neck rolls, ribeyes, even LARD!, on their web site, www.debragga.com, and they ship it overnight to anywhere in the U.S. I highly recommend you check them out!
  2. Maybe the best way to enjoy wagyu, true Japanese, but also American and Austrailian, is to cook it at home. I can heartily recommend DeBragga.com, the web site owned by the guys with the dry-aging rooms at DeBragga and Spitler in NY's meat market. They carry each type of wagyu, and if you buy from the site, you save a ton of money that you could spend on a great wine to go with it! Check it out: http://www.debragga.com/.
  3. I haven't heard about any plans for a "bricks & mortar" location for DeBragga, but I do believe that they will be selling product through some retail locations soon. If I hear anything, I'll post it. Don't knock the convenience of shipping, though! You could be located in the company's neighborhood and still benefit tremendously by the way they handle, package and ship the meat...when you order meats to stock up on (meaning "freeze" them, which is such a great way to preserve their superb flavor), you set for meals for a good long time!
  4. That meat looks incredible! I never thought I could get meat that good at home. Thanks for doing this research...it's extremely helpful!
