Thanks for posting that info. I have been thinking about using that brand solely because it is Japanese. If the quality is like the cars produced by Japanese manufacturers then I am there in any future sites.

I've personally had no end of problems with various manufacturers, especially with under counter freezers. I'll single out True in particular. We had a Manitowoc (water cooled) that was pretty much maintenance free. I think Kold Drafts reputation is for the quality of the ice, not the reliability of the machines per se. I have one on order for our new location, so can't comment on the reliability yet.

I bought the iDrink iPhone application and the interface for adding your own cocktails is pretty good. You can add your own or edit the existing ones. The quality of the recipes is not as good as the CocktailDB app though (imho). Worth the $4.99.

Just though I'd mention on this thread that Porcella is closing mid May. I saw the signs driving home. I believe the space is going to be taken over by Monsoon from Seattle, at least that's what I have heard.

I just got a participating membership too. So I'll first post as someone who likes to actually drink the bitters (a goodly amount in a little sake cup) I can't wait to try this cocktail. Don
