Someone needs to give those crazy Argentinian gauchos their own reality show.

Yep, the Hong Kong episode was great, except for that one chef at the pretentious food joint. I would be super-pissed if someone was smoking a stupid cigar all up in my grill attempting to look edgy while I was trying to eat. Unless, of course, all his recipes factored in the smoke. Which, you know, I doubt.

I went by that following evening (ever true to my word), and I had the best dirty Stoli martini I've ever had (beating out the Four Seasons here in town, hands-down). I was there late Saturday, so it was very busy and full of hipsters, and the bartenders didn't seem fazed at all. Definitely going to be a re-visit locale for me, although I think I'd prefer it for an after-work spot, in order to get a little more quiet atmosphere.

I am dying of curiosity about the Tibetan family with the yaks - is that really a fully-functional, Just Your Average Yakherder family? The house was spectacularly beautiful, and everyone was dressed really elaborately. This is probably more my general lack of familiarity with the culture, but it all seemed a little Come See Authentic Tibetan Life, Replete With Traditional Native Costumes, Only $40 A Pop to me, and I was hoping I was wrong.

I've never been to the Peacock, but that post just inspired me to swing by tomorrow night to check it out.
