  1. Hello everyone, Thanksgiving is next week, and I would like to know if you have any recommendations or suggestions as to which restaurants have the best whole turkey in Toronto (not just a few slices). My family and I have never cooked turkey before and we'd like to lay back and enjoy turkey, without worrying about dishes and the outcome of the turkey. Also, if we would like to buy cooked turkey (like roasted chicken at Whole Foods Market, etc...), would you have any recommendations? Thanks! James
  2. Last time I spoke to Sho Ozawa (a couple of months back) he hadn't had any for a long time and was having difficulty sourcing it from Japan. Also heard this week that a steak restaurant in TO had just had an order fall through. Thuet Atelier "claims" to have it but "temporarily out of stock". Butcher Shoppe had the US version (from Colorado) a week ago, but call it Kobe beef (which it isn't). ← Thank you to everyone who replied! I'll shop around.
  3. Hello everyone, I just came back from Japan and I miss the succulent variety and delicacy of Japanese beef. Does anyone know where Kobe beef, blackhair beef, or any other kind of Japanese top-notch beef can be purchased in Toronto? Thank you!
  4. Yeah, the best restaurant in downtown Toronto would be Lai Wah Heen. If you are willing to go to Richmond Hill/Markham (about 45 mins. from downtown), let us know!
  5. I agree with the posters here as well; Bymark and Canoe serve decent food during these promos but they are exceptionally hard to book. I also recommend Canoe's counterparts: Oliver & Bonacini cafe.grill (Lunch at $15, dinner at $25) and Auberge du Pommier (Lunch at $20, dinner at $35). I have also tried Le Biftheque Steakhouse on Richmond Street. They do a fairly good job as well. (Lunch at $15, dinner at $25) I'll try more when Winterlicious rolls around!
  6. Hello, I hope that I am still in time. I recommend two restaurants convenient to the highway in the Bayview Village shopping plaza: Oliver & Bonacini Cafe.Grill, which is located right off the Bayview Ave. exit on Highway 401. Their website is at http://www.oliverbonacini.com/obcg_bayview.html The other option is Sierra Grill. I like this restaurant because it offers unlimited servings of the salad bar in addition to your main course. Be sure to check that your meal includes the salad bar.
