  1. Without a doubt, I would like to have dinner with a great wit, and one of the most fascinating men who ever lived: Winston Churchill. (Runner up would be another great wit, Oscar Wilde.)
  2. Ahh, yes. I know someone who calls these cream of Lutheran soups.
  3. Lakka, a really nasty cloudberry liqueur my brother brought back from Finland. It tastes almost like prune juice.
  4. In this part of Minnesota, it's whatever Applebees, Perkins, Olive Garden, etc., are serving.
  5. I like Korean food, but I've never had bibimbop. Next time I eat Korean I'm going to have to try it. BTW, anyone read the article in the NY Times dining section about Korean home cooking?

    TVP

Hey, me too. I was beginning to think I was the only one here who did.

    Butter

What kind of butter would this be? (I love butter, usually buy Land O' Lakes. But, since my palette isn't all that sophisticated, I really can't tell the difference between LOL and the store brand stuff.)
  8. Tony's line, "I could fire all my chefs", was too funny. (Is your chop-chop Pampered Chef like my mom's is?)
  9. IMO, Jacqui is the ONLY reason to watch HOTG. As for FoodTV, there are three shows I really like: Molto Mario, Good Eats, and A Cook's Tour. (Okay, Mario Eats Italy is fun too.) I also like the cooking shows on PBS. No commercials, no Emeril.
  10. What town is it in/near?
  11. Hey, I was born in '75. God, I can't believe I'm almost 30. YIKES!
  12. Do you mean that in a good way, or a bad way?
  13. I only have 15 or so. I usually don't cook from them. I just like to read about food and learn about cooking. I do plan to keep buying cookbooks. I just have to find a job first.
  14. I have a box of my great aunt's recipes that she culled from various sources. I call it the motherload.
