  1. vertical restaurant in first canadian place has a couple of private rooms, and toronto like has given it good reviews in the restaurant guide.
  2. i've seen different salts at whole foods as well. i've made the mistake and bought iodized salts. they are just not the same.
  3. the house on parliament (456 parliament @ carlton) has a kobe burger every wenesday. one of the best burgers i've ever had. i've been told that some places 'bulk' up the ground kobe with standard beef; but i know that theirs is the real thing.
  4. i'm not sure if this is too late but try vertical restaurant in first canadian place. www.verticalrestaurant.ca
  5. Celestin is ru by a parapalegic chef who has a custom wheel chair so he is able to 'stand' in the ckitchen and cook. I'm not sure why he is confined to a wheelchair but i do know that it is worth the trip to mount pleasant.
  6. curry leaves can be found in several shops on parliament north of carlton, south of wellesley, owned and run by the sri lankans. On the corner of wellesly and parliament there is also a great sri lankan restaurant. try mutton biryani and rotis are the best i've ever had. the texture is a little different than your average roti.
  7. I agree, Bulldog has amazing coffee. The latte art alone is worth the trip downtown. Its a five minute walk from jet fuel another favourite. A little more 'hardcore', the bike couriers frequent this place.
