  1. My favorite place is Ceviche Tapas Bar on South Howard. It's close to down town, but you'll have to take a cab to get there. There plenty of good places to eat on Howard Ave. Oasis, 717, Berns, and Sideberns. All great places to eat. Oasis is Lebanese, and Bern's is one of the best aged steak places in town. You can always check out the Bay's finest: Hooters in Channelside...
  2. I recently went to Lai Thai on Fletcher. They had a pretty good selection on the menu, and the food was good. rmhokies (food snob)
  3. Yoko's My girlfirend and I went to Yokos on South MacDill last night for dinner. One of the best sushi meals I've had. We ordered Chirashi and then had some eel, a spider roll and spicy tuna roll. The variety of sashimi in the Chirashi was enough for two. The eel was fat and juicy. The spicy tuna was tasty, but we agreed the spicy tuna crunch roll looked better. We ate at the sushi bar, and the chefs were great. They were joking with the patrons while preparing the sushi. I plan to go back again, some time soon for sure.
  4. Good places for lunch are the Jerk hut downtown and Eddie and Sams Pizza. Trolley's run to Hyde Park where you can check out Ceviche on S howard and Bayhsore. The tapas and sangria are great... Trolley's run to Y-bor. Acropolis has inexpensive but good greek food. Go on the weekend night to catch the band and belly dancing.
  5. For Chinese go to TC Choys in Hyde Park - a bit expensive though... cheaper dim sum go to Ho Ho Choys on Fletcher near USF. For Vietnamese go to either Pho Quyen or Saigon Palace. I thought Restaurant BT in Hyde Park was over priced and the food wasn't that great. Sarione on Cypress is great for Korean food. I couldnt tell you where to get good Thai from personal experience. I hear Jasmine Thai in Carollwood is as good place to go.
