  1. I don't know if I could have that in the house - Chubby Hubby is already forbidden.
  2. You can definitely do this. My husband and I got married in Central Park as well. For our dinner, we went to a Spanish tapas place called La Nacional, located at 14th St. bet. 7th and 8th Ave (http://www.lanacionaltapas.com) We ordered paella, 3 different appetizers (as much as the table needed), sangria (again, as much as the table needed), and dessert for a price of $35. pp. We had 15 people. Ask for the front room, which faces the street. The back room is in the kitchen area. Good luck!
  3. Thanks, Liz. I will report back when we indulge!
  4. Longtime reader, first time poster... Just finished churning the mango sorbet, and it's in the freezer. I made it for my mom, but of course had to put some aside for my husband (and for me to sneak a taste). I had to omit the rum unfortunately, since my mom can't tolerate alcohol - will this have any affect on the texture? I love reading all of your reviews, and I'm looking forward to trying more!
  5. There is a bit of smoke flavor, but I find the smack of umami even stronger. Both 'Torula Yeast' and 'Yeast Extract' are in the barbecue seasoning on the label. ('Natural Smoke Flavor' follows.) Also, a tad sweeter than I'd like. Next step: try the Salt & Pepper variety, but that will have to wait due to travel plans. ← I tried the Salt and Vinegar the other day, and was hooked. Told the fiance to pick up a big bag at Costco today. Can't wait to try the Salt and Pepper. The very sad thing is that as soon as I tried them, I thought of this thread and couldn't wait to post on the similarity to Munchos.

    Honey

I can't stand peanut butter and jelly, but peanut butter and honey on wheat bread is another story. Yum!
  7. After your post, FG, I all of a sudden had a craving for Munchos as well. Love 'em. Was about to pick those up for my train ride back into Manhattan, and then saw Veggie Chips at Duane Reade. I decided to try them - and they have that same melt in your mouth feeling that Munchos has. Don't get me wrong - I love the Munchos. But Veggie Chips is a good substitute. Veggie Chip
  8. Definitely dairy products - especially milk. I don't drink the stuff so only buy it if a recipe calls for it. And then it's left to turn in the fridge. Same goes for sour cream. I never put in on things like baked potatoes, just use them in recipes (like sugar cookies), and then have leftover sour cream until I have to throw it out.
