Jasper, I am very sorry about the restaurant. I saw it this morning and my heart goes out to you. I have not been on egullet for sometime. If I could do anything for you please call me at Circa. Your a talent and just have to dust this off. I know I have had to to this before.

Shumi in Somerville has to be the best traditional sushi I have had anywhere in the world. Ike is a true Japanese sushi chef and master no crazy mayo rolls it is about the fish and rice.

None at all I have a restauarnt in High Bridge and its is great to find places that are not doing dunken doughnut. So break the diet go there as for the travel tips who cares.

We are in central NJ not north

I went to the best pastry shop yesterday. It was in Gladstone NJ and better then any I have been here or Paris!! Balthazar should check them out and worth the trip from anywhere.

How far is St-Emilion from Bordeaux proper? Are those everday restaurants. I have a bistro and I want to eat higher end bistros. Also I am shore renting a car is not a problem but what about a bike?

I will be in Bordeaux March and was wondering if anyone knows where to eat? The chateau I am staying in is in St Emilion
