  1. Hello All, I was wondering if there is a mixed drink that contains rum that doesn't effect the rum too much. I am new to the game, and I love rum, but I don't think I'm quite to the point of just rum poured over ice. I wanted to know if there was anything that could be mixed with rum where you could still enjoy most of the flavor differences.
  2. They also sell it here in Indiana. I bought a bottle and I have to say that I do not think it is worth the $37 I had to pay for it. It is a very different tasting rum in my opinion (which may not be quite the best opinion, as I have only been drinking rum for about a year now). The bottle is interesting, the marketing of the product was great, the taste is unique, but I'd say try it in a bar, don't buy a bottle unless you can get it cheaper than you can here in Indy.
  3. Thanks for the help, I have added my location.
  4. Hello Everyone, This is my first post. I am a rookie rum enthusiast, and am excited to learn more about rum. I have taken quite a liking to Saint James Rhum Agricole (which I purchased at my local liquor store). I'm not quite sure which one it is, although the arch above the emblem says "Millesime" (please excuse my ignorance, but I am new to the rum world). I have been reading up quite a bit on the brand, and am dying to try some of the others. I have been able to purchase the Amber and Hors d'Age, but really wanted to try some of the others (such as the Imperial Blanc, the Fleur de Canne, or any others I have not heard of). I was wondering if any of you perhaps new of a place where Saint James Rhums outside of the traditional Extra Old, Hors d'Age or Amber could be purchased in the states? I may have to just bite the bullet and take a trip to Martinique (poor me), but I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks
