I'm always startled when I see the price of halibut here in the stores. It varies some but often at $17.99 per pound.
Lindag, I live on the west coast of Canada and I wish I could get it for $17.99 per pound. Last time I bought it was the same prices as what Anna posted.
Moe's Dinner.
I wasn't hungry and he said he would be happy with just something to pick at.So I made salsa and guacamole and gave him is own tray.

Chicken Taquitos with Sour Cream
.
So many great looking breakfasts.
Robirdstx, Unlike Moe I'm not really a big fan of traditional breakfasts, but I would love your Chicken Taquitos.
Would be really happy too with Andiesenji's scones and Kim's croissants.
Made Steamed Chicken with ginger, garlic and green onions for Moe's breakfast yesterday morning, and I
took the same to work with me for lunch.

Dejah, I'm seriously considering buying an electric pressure cooker. Just wondering which size you have or would recommend. The six or the eight?

David, thank you for sharing your method. I've saved your instructions and this is definitely going on my must try soon list.
I love duck and it isn't something that I cook often. If I can't find fresh duck legs in Victoria's Chinatown, I know I can
buy them frozen in a number of our local grocery stores.
Last night's dinner.

Gfweb, This is a recipe I have been making for almost 30 years. It is from a Bon Appetit Magazine.
The sauce is really simple. I used dried Mission Figs. You can find the recipe here.

Thanks Scubadoo. Thanks Anna. Just been busy with our Boards and slacking somewhat when it comes to cooking.

Haven't posted in a while. But I always come to this thread for inspiration.

Tonight's dinner.
This dish is on Moe's Top Five list. I've been making this recipe - Chicken Breasts Perigord
(With Mushroon Duxelles) for almost 30 years. The recipe is one of Lucy Waverman's from her - 1989 'Seasonal Canadian Cookbook.'
The only thing I do different is to add green peppercorns to the sauce.

@liamsaunt, Like @kayb I'd be happy and I know Moe would be too, with your antipasto platter. What an assortment.

@HungryChris Love the idea of your rapini and potatoes for breakfast. I wouldn't even need the toast.
Moe's Breakfast.
"Spatchcocked" a chicken this morning. Seasoned with garlic, oregano, lemon, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Gave it an hour to marinate and then cooked on the grill.
Served on a grilled flat bread topped with Tzatziki sauce, lettuce, grilled onions, tomatoes and sheeps feta.
To early for me so I'm taking all the ingredients in separate containers to work with me and will make a sandwich for lunch.
