  1. Please share - which Whole Foods location? Our Wegmans (State College) stopped carrying it, but I do have a sister in center city. Addictively wonderful blue!
  2. I haven't seen my favorite yet. During the height of tomato season (MUST be made with REAL tomatoes) my nephew suggested a sandwich I couldn't imagine - squishy white bread, one side spread with Hellmans, the other with peanut butter. In the middle, sliced ripe tomato, bacon and fresh basil leaves. He told me to withhold my opinion till I tried it. Tried one. FABULOUS! Made another. Ran into my ex while eating second sandwich; he wanted to know what it was. Recoiled upon answer. Told him not to knock it until he tried it. He tried it. And took off with my sandwich!!
  3. The temps ARE dropping again here in central PA. I am thinking yellow pea soup with salt pork and a splash of balsamic on top And several batches of stock to freeze for use throughout the year. But I also believe in the path of least resistance. In my drafty old farmhouse, if it is cold outside it is pretty chilly inside. I have a nice marble slab under a particularly drafty window in the kitchen. On a day when I am particularly cranky about the cold, it is the perfect time to make the year's supply of puff pastry (usually 10 to 12#). For one day I can appreciate that my kitchen is cold and use it to my advantage.
