  1. food junkie

    Spanish Reds

Since everyone has already named most of the wines I would have recommended, I only have one to add to the list... Wrongo Dongo, 2003 Jumilla ...it's mostly Mourvedre with a bit of Cab Sauv. Really quite tasty for $7/bottle.
  2. Of course, that's where BYO is legal (some states or municipalities do not allow it). ← If it's not, you could just put the bottle in a paper bag...
  3. I think Brad hit the nail on the head last year when he recommended just paying the corkage and bringing your own. I find myself doing that more and more often these days, especially as our home inventory grows and matures. I know this doesn't justify the high prices charged at restauarants, but it's a reasonable alternative IMO.
  4. Are you asking for a cigar recommendation? If so, I'll recommend a Torano Excalibur, a Romeo y Julieta Reserve or maybe a CAO L`Anniversaire eXtreme. I honestly find the Dalmore Cigar Malt to be almost too sweet...like a liqueur. On a plus side, that sweetness does lend itself to some nice pairings with some of the more robust cigars.
  5. I'm a home roaster as well and I've never found a quality bean source between PDX and Seattke that is nearly as good as either Sweet Maria's or Coffee Bean Corral...if you do find someone with a high standard of qualty in the Seattle area though, could you let us know?
