  1. For Santander try Dove Tale Collections It is a Canadian site.
  2. LMFAO!!! That was Me! I knew the end was near when I read on the menu about the 'vegetarian Tuna' dish. ← Give yourself a pat on the back for this one. You are/were so right.
  3. Third time wasn't the charm. Okay. Went to HolaChurro. Awful, to say the least. Poor service. Slow and inexperienced. She had to come back and ask what I ordered because she didn't know Spanish. She made luke-warm and less then half cup servings of our Americano coffees. The food was served, again luke-warm and lacking a decent amount of meat and filling. I had the Flautas and I would saying the filling was definitely lacking. Only a few shreds of chicken meat in the middle. The plate consisted of four Flautas covered in shredded lettuce and chopped tomato salsa with a spoonful of Guacamole on the side. Hubby had the enchiladas in the Verde sauce. Again, not hot and too lemony. Believe me, my husband loves lemon. He is Greek and even this was too much for him. He said the lemon overpowered but even with less lemon the dish would be bland. Not spice heat, at all. This was our third and last visit. The first two were for Churros. Churro visit number one consisted of cold Churros because that is how the cook likes them. He even asked us if we liked them hot or cold. We said hot but were served cold ones. Tried to give them one more chance on Churros but the Churro machine was broken. A placed called HolaChurro and has no Churros. Hmm? Churrolicious got our business that day. I have yet to have a bad churro from there. Anyhow, I am sure we will soon see this place in the "openings and closings" thread. I believe this was predicted by someone else in the forum.
  4. Has anyone actually tried Hola Churro yet?
  5. I am glad to have found this thread. This happened to me late last year. I bought two tins and one was a much darker and thicker product. I thought it was bad and threw it away. Sorry I wasted it but I now I know different. Thanks.
  6. Mr. Sport is no longer Greek owned. Just saying.
  7. I agree, too sweet. The icing over-powered the cupcake and the cake part really didn't have much flavour, at all. Disappointed.
  8. Went this afternoon and I will go back. I had a regular order with cinnamon sugar. The Churros were crisp on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. No complaints here.
  9. I had the Tarte au Citron Meringue at Ganache and it was quite good. I must say though that I would have enjoyed it more had there been more of the lemon and less of the meringue. I love a tart lemon filling and this was nice because it wasn't too sweet. The crust was a little tough but I liked it none-the-less. My husband had the Tiramisu-Chocolat and he liked that. I had a taste and it was better than expected.(I am not a huge Tiramisu fan) We will definitely be going back to sample more. I especially want to try the truffles.
  10. After months of lurking and finally upgrading to be able to post, here is my first entry. I am sorry to say it isn't that positive. A few weeks back I tried the Phat Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and was actually disappointed. It was too fatty and a little too grisly for my liking. The taste(flavour of the meat and light rye) was good but I don't like gristle and was put off. Was it a bad day? Or will I like Kaplan's better?
