  1. Though I don't think a Big Green Egg can ever make a pizza like the LBE, I rank it as a multitasker. You can make a fairly good pizza on it, you can smoke on it, you can do low temperature (but not cold-smoked) fish on it, it does grill really well, it serves as an outdoor oven for casseroles, cakes, & deserts. Though they are pricey they last a good long time. I cook on one 4 days a week and have for years, and though I do have a WSM (Weber Smokey Mountain) for some things, I rank the BGE as a tried and true multitasker. If JMolanari would make me an LBE, I'd have one of the best inexpensive pizza ovens around. I'm just not that crafty .
  2. Congratulations Chris. We are all looking forward to your show for sure. Make sure you give Atlanta and the Suburbs a chance to make an impression on the audience. We have a highly ethnic and diversified population both inside the perimeter and OTP (outside the perimeter). Look one of us up for a pre-show tour so that you can catch the nuances that are here in the great state of Georgia. .
  3. Funny, my parents and grandparents used to take me to Leonards on South Parkway when I was little (in the 70s) - it was an old Memphis BBQ place. Coletta's still is famous for their BBQ pizza. Recently, I've been getting the great BBQ pizza at Romeo's, a deli-style Italian place on Southern (between Perkins and Colonial) which is owned by former bbq maven John Wills. His bbq place on Central near the Fairgrounds was one the best in town in the 80s before a terrible move to a more upscale location in East Memphis (which has been closed awhile).
