  1. Thanks all! I will try to get a seat at the bar at L'Atelier.
  2. Budget is flexible, I am more concerned with being treated well. I like most cuisines. Any thoughts?
  3. Hello, I have a conference in Vegas in April and will likely have two nights where I will be dining solo. Any rec's ? I do not mind eating at the bar, if the bartenders are friendly. Thanks!
  4. Hello, My husband will be traveling to Amsterdam next month on business. Are there any great vegetarian restaurants there? He may have to entertain a client. Thank you, Lori
  5. I believe the name was two words, both beginning with the same letter (R-R? V-V?) It was on the north side of the street and was on the second floor. Does this help at all?
  6. Hello, Hopefully someone can help with this. There was a French bistro on 44th or 45th street in the 1970s, it was on the second floor of the building (maybe between 5th and 6th?). My family used to eat there frequently and none of us can remember the name! Does anyone have any ideas? This is driving me CRAZY. Thanks!
  7. We were playing with St. Germain over the weekend and came up with this awesome refreshing cocktail which we named a Lemon Flower Martini. 3 oz Prosecco 1 oz St. Germain 1 oz Limoncello 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Yummy and it goes down WAY too easy
  8. Hello, My husband and I will be spending 10 days in Italy at the beginning of May (Ravello, Sorrento and Rome). Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants? The price is not the object, great food is (although great cheap food would be nice ). We prefer to eat where Romans eat, when possible. Thank you for any input. Lori B
  9. Hi, Thanks for all the speedy answers! The theater is on 54th and 8th, so anywhere around there, Hell's Kitchen, upper Times Square, etc, should be fine. My mom is picky due to stomach issues, can't eat spicy/rich food (basically anything good!). A restaurant that can do something simple for her, yet fabulous for the rest of us (who will eat basically anything),is what we are looking for. Again, thanks for the help. Lori.
  10. Hi all, Does anyone have a suggestion for a great restaurant for pre-theatre dinner? The people going with us are picky eaters, and prefer French. Any ideas for something yummy? Thanks! Lori.
  11. Hi all. We have friends coming in from California and want to go into Newark for portugese. Any suggestions on a great place? Thanks. Lori
  12. Thanks for some great ideas. We have been to Tim Schafer's many times and love it. We've also been to Bella Rosa and it was good as well. Lori
  13. Does anyone know of a good moderately priced BYOB that's between Bergen County and Somerville (off of 287 would be best). We are looking to meet friends halfway and have run out of ideas. Thanks
  14. We've always been able to get terrific meat/poultry at Wegman's (one of the best turkeys I ever ate actually) It's probably too far for anyone in Bergen, but if you are down this way, it's definately worth it!
