  1. There is a sign in the storefront where Syd's used to be for "Five Guys: Famous Burgers and Fries". Appears to be a franchise, with locatons already in NJ. Anyone know anything about them?
  2. They have it at Godfather's in East Hanover on Rt 10. The use a lot of arugula, not so much basil. They also top it with fresh mozzarella, and almost always have it available by the slice.
  3. I've been to Lun Wah in Roselle a couple of times, (we've got friends that live right down the street who love the place). Lun Wah 587 Raritan Road Roselle, NJ 07203 908.254.0656 In looking up the name of the restaurant (it's been a year or two since I was there), I came across this Tiki-centric forum with pictures of Lun Wah and reviews of some of the other restaurants mentioned in this thread.
  4. The scuttlebut I've heard is that there are new owners, and when they re-open, it will be a Brazilian churrascaria. I think the name will be Rio, or Rio something. Someone also mentioned that they will be serving sushi. That seemed rather odd, but it occurs to me that it could be one of the items on the traditionally huge salad bar rodizios always offer. ← Yup. http://www.rio22.net/ (got there from here: http://www.22west.net/)
  5. I had the garlic chicken, which I believe is deep fried with the skin on (no breading) and then it is hit with the garlic/vinegar sauce. It was very good. I've had the roasted chicken (frango) on previous visits and yes, it's very good. ← I live within smelling distance of the Stuyvesant Ave location. I love the garlic chicken, and it's pretty hard to beat the combination of quality/quantity/price. Based on your photos, I may have to try the shrimp next time.
  6. See thread on Los Tapatios. You may need to sit in the bar side of the restaurant, which is busier, but no longer smokey. Heading there myself (tomorrow) for Cinco (Seis) de Mayo.
  7. Johnny's (downtown on Main St) Angelo St Cloud (Northfield Ave, near Micky-D's, I think they deliver) And of course, Pizza Hut and Dominos.... If Rosie didn't mean Master Pizza, (on Northfield, just over the border in Livingston), then you can try there, too.
  8. I just want to reiterate everything in the original post. I actually joined this forum with the intention of posting a review very much like that, and never got around to it. I've been going there for 8 years (when they were basically a little Mexican convenience store with some tables in the back) and still haven't had a bad meal. I moved out of West Orange 1 1/2 year ago, and we still go back for a fix every couple of months. The place has ruined every other Mexican restaurant for me and anyone else I've ever dragged there. It looks like the OP ate in the restaurant. They also own the bar next door, and make a pretty good sangria, however the restaurant is smoke free and the service is a little more attentive. I've had just about everything on the menu by this point. I heartily recommend anything with the green sauce. It's the best I've ever had. Also make sure you try the Mexican sodas, especially the Coke (there is a difference). Thanks for the post!
  9. If you're willing to order from out of state and have them shipped, this place is the BEST: O&H Danish Bakery
  10. Bagel Chateau in Madison used to have them. I'm positive I've had them at diners in the Essex/Morris county area before, but I'm drawing a blank.
