  1. Does anyone know what her travel schedule is like for the last month? We are hoping to make one final pilgrimage from central PA but have yet to catch her on the phone to pin down a date.
  2. An article in this morning's NY Times recommends El Naranjo. Does this mean it is re-open (with Iliana?) or are they just behind the times with their information?
  3. What about ceramic knives? Anywhere special or the same places noted above? Thanks!
  4. it sounds like it may be too late to be of use, but i should say that we got married in the summer of 2001 at Awbury Arboretum in Germantown, which was a wonderful place which had a lot in common with Bartram's but which we preferred, mostly for intangible reasons. We also used Shackamaxxon catering, and were very very happy with the choice. They were much better at customizing and working with us than a lot of other places seemed to be, and had great food at relatively cheap prices!
  5. At my recent dinner at Artisanal in NYC, my cheese plate offered me an extraordinary experience. One of the lovelies -- a ripened, semisoft goat (?) cheese named Virot -- made me feel surprisingly intoxicated. My companion observed that I was acting drunk, and it felt to me like the top of my head was opening up. The sensation intensified with each bite, then subsided all too quickly. Is it possible to get drunk on cheese? If so, how does it work? On a related note: how can I find this cheese on my own? Thanks so much!
