  1. Last time I went to the regelade (maybe a month ago), it wasn't that easy to notice the chef had changed: most of the menu was the same (30 euros), and quality was almost equal. But the wine list is not as impressive as it used to be when camdeborde ran the place. And the by the way, it's still as hard to make reservations: we had to wait till 10:30 to get a table! The place was fully packed, which probably means people havn't noticed an important change yet.
  2. Andouillette + amazing wine liste + nice bistrot atmosphere = les enfants rouges, in the 3rd, not far away from the lovely market. I think it's rue de Beauce. But the problem is they only have two dinners a week (thursday and friday?); otherwise, you have to go for lunch, without the same crowd and "ambiance". Trust me: try that wine list (especially the rhone valley, the loire valley and all the great stuff from beaujolais).
  3. I'm not sure, but that sounds like the Grain de folie. Last time I ate there, maybe a year and a half ago, I had nothing but terrible salad and tomatoes — maybe the hommos was OK, but that was about it. If that's vegetarian food, I'll rather have a steak...
  4. Forget about Djoon: the place is quite good looking (although the neighborhood is not that hip), but food's really bad — actually, I think I read they'd just changed their chef. Maybe for a drink? As far as Pearl is concerned, I feel the same (but the place is much smaller and less spectacular than Djoon). By the way: not far away from Djoon, the MK2 movie theatre opened a bunch of restaurants. The one called "Jules & Jim" is great (decor, not food, once again), quite expensive. try and have a look here: http://www.mk2.fr/bibliotheque/. The bar is nice too (the Limelight). Were you looking for places in the 8th or the 16th, only? I guess you should try the Cristal Room, decorated by Philippe Stark: fantastic. It's in Baccarat's head office.
  5. Maceo in the 1st used to have a vegetarian menu — but they've changed their chef a couple of monthes ago, and I can't tell if it's still there. Pascal barbot, at the Astrance in the 16th, often has a lot of vegetarian dishes. I also heard something about a very small place called Po mana in the 10th: ayurvedic food, maybe?
  6. Has anyone been there recently? I mean, since Jean-Francois Piege, the exectutive chef, moved to the Ambassadeurs, at the Crillon?
