  1. Also doesn't work on any browser on the Mac. I can't think of anything involved in ordering a frickin' sandwich online that would require potential customers to use one specific OS/Browser platform. These people are largely building their entire business around creative use of technology, and they can't create a simple, customer-focused experience. Doesn't matter how good the sandwiches or ingredients are if I can't order one. -j
  2. I was just there for lunch yesterday. Very good low-priced lunch specials (though some of the dishes have been inconsistent, and wouldn't be considered necessarily Malaysian) for $5-$6 with soup. The poh-piah spring rolls are great. Some of the more authentic dishes off the main menu (in the $10-$12 range) are good options. I haven't been there for dinner, but remember many of the things on the menu looking good. Overall, it's a good place if you're stuck in Hoboken, though some of the food falls into the "Thai food, with fruit" category. -j
  3. Meg, as a fellow former Berkleyan, I'll second (or third) that recommedation. My wife and I often stop there on the way home, their Vegetarian Mesob is amazing, quite cheap, and usually can easily feed the both of us, with maybe a meat sambousa thrown in for good measure... It's usually full, but not crowded... a great atmosphere, and a truly enjoyable meal. NYTimes Linkage QoS is on 10th Ave at 45th or 46th.
  4. I consider shopping at Costco a spectator sport. Seeing what people load their cart with (and often multiple carts) is shocking. I can only imagine what the meals are like at some of these people's houses when they're buying 4 cases of capri sun, 5 lbs of frosted flakes, and an entire half a cow.
