  1. Finally made it down myself last week. I grew up in central Texas so BBQ holds a place in my heart and these guys delivered! Finally some decent 'Q in pdx!
  2. Next time you go to Chaba Thai, you must try the Kao Soi - I get it almost everytime I go there it's SO GOOD! As far as other Thai places in town, I find most to be mediocre. Vietnamese is my fave SE Asian cuisine.
  3. Fresh torillas? I'm going for sure, got to be one of my favorite foods!
  4. Haven't been (yet) or tried the dish, but I do know that traditionally the shell is eaten. I used to work at Cafe Azul and we served similar prawns.
  5. Sorry to make my first post negative, but please don't support Hurley's. The food is mediocre and he is a pompous ass, just about everyone in the industry here in town can't stand him (there's been constant turnover since he opened.) Yes, the food is very precisely presented, but that just means every component on the plate has been touched several times. There are so many other outstanding restaurants in town to choose from. Try Paley's Place (Vito was just nominated for a Beard award) Park Kitchen, Clark Lewis, Wildwood to name a few.
