My dad likes Manhattons and liked Tosti Sweet Vermouth in them- but it's not available in Oregon and I can't find it on line. Perhaps it is no longer made ?

Pyrat xo favorite by far, but Barbancourt 3 star and 5 star age great too, Whalers Rare Dark is wonderful and not expensive, like Bacardi 8,Appleton Extra,Cruzan- all the Cruzans so far, Gosling Black Seal, - I dont own a rum I dont like so far, but I still havent found a great way to mix them- coke is ok- but too sweet for me for more than one drink- well not sweet really- too syrupy i wish coke tasted like it used to.

Got the Cruzan Blackstrap(it is new here) and like it a lot- like the molasses taste, probably proves my appreciation of rums is still in the beginner stage.- I'vehad a bit of a mania in buying rums to taste them and have 20 bottles- pretty much the spectrum available around here-in Oregon So far i really like most of them, but don't really taste all the things described by those more experienced- favorite so far is the Planters Pyrat XO- I was also surprised that I like the Bacardi 8 so much- and of coarse i also really like the Gosling Black Seal 80 proof, and the Whalers rare dark is great too- some of the less expensive are among my favorites.
