  1. I miss Cool Hand Luke's in Madrona one of the friendly comfortable places to go and get very good food and service. When I lived over there I was in at least once a week. Just thinking about makes me want an Imperial Mixup. Fishshooter
  2. Try the Good Coffee Co. on Post Alley and I think Marion under the walkway to the ferrys and about 3 doors south. Joe the owner is a wealth of info and roasts some great coffee and has great teas for good prices.
  3. I used to go to McCormick & Schmick's on 1st ave for their happy hour in the bar the have a $1.95 menu that is very good they have a great burger and fries, calimari, mussels etc. I used to eat there all the time when I worked at Warshals and always good. They also do a late night happy hour. Times 3 to 6 and 10 to midnight if I remember correctly. Happy eating and drinking, Fishshooter
  4. Try her fresh Figs stuffed with chocolat ganache then dipped in chocolat. They are mind numbingly good and only avalible when the figs are in season.
  5. The Yukon river opens the first week in june for commercial fishing. The Yukon river is much longer than the Copper river so the fish have to eat more to store more fat to make it to the spawning grounds and add more flavor for our taste buds. Costco usualy sells whole sockeye copper river for around $4-5 a pound. I generaly pick up a half doz. and put them in my smoker. They are the best. I hope to pick up some Yukons this year also and try them in the smoke.
  6. This is the season for Oysters and if you like them go sit at the bar at the Brooklyn which is across the street on 2nd. They also serve good fresh fish.
  7. Hi there I am a long time lurker and first time poster here but in reading this thread I had to go try one and OH MY GOD!! they are good. I found them at the West Seattle Thriftway. I will try making a pie very soon with them
