Looking to host a birthday party in NYC where I can invite a bunch of friends to just come and meet, without renting a special room or hosting an open bar special. I am looking for a great bar that would not be absolutely packed on a Friday evening - not a dive and not too too upscale - that could accomodate around 20 (possibly rowdy) people. I have not lived in NYC for years but would prefer something downtown. HELP!!

If you want the best fish go to Kaze . The chefs there are Kaze , Hari , and Maku and are all related to the person who runs and operates Heat , in fact they opened heat and introduced Chicago to the idea of eating live fish . Over this past weekend they were serving live snow crab and various other fish . Instead of asking all these questions why don't you call the restaurant directly and ask them what they are serving .They have been known to fly certain fish in for certain clients .

I am sure you will find a similair experience at Kaze on Roscoe the owners there use to own Heat .
