  1. I was told all the deserts are homemade, so they probably vary . .
  2. I have used La Promenade in Tenafly. My Mil used them all the time for big to little events. Very professional . I have worked in a lot of catering halls, and private parties as a DJ on NYC., Westchester,Conn, Penn and New Jersey.. She is oone of the best/ La Promenade web site
  3. Yeppers, some of the good old boys from NMHS class of 79 . BYOB- Now, I want some take out. It's about two blocks from Votee park, on QUeen aNne Rd Mexcalli Blues website
  4. I don't have the menu , so this will be vague we started with 2 apetizers- Baked scallops G**** ? Bacon, bread crumbs, wine Amazing- there was this spice - perhaps nutmeg - Just delicious - I want to take bread and sop up all the sauce. Mussels in a red sauce - also done extremely well, very tasty. We were fighting over the last mussel. My dh had the special - Steak with fried shrimp on top, oriental influnces- My dh doesn't let me touch his main course but he enjoyed every bit of it. I had crab cakes- I think No filler, nice sauce . All entrees serve with aspargus & carrot - Firm in a gently seasoned sauce. good coffee. for desert- I had bread pudding- It was so good but I was so full that I brought half of it home for breakfast. Dh has homemade vanilla ice cream - you could see the vanilla specks. All deserts are made on the premise. Service was good- Not pro's but very attentive. The resturaunt had two other couple when we got there at 7, but by 8.40 - it was filled. The Chef is a true artist. I would put in on the same level as chez Domanique . So good - dinner ran just under 100.00 with out tip, that does include two dewars & waters.
  5. This restaurunt is amazing . The food was GREAT. Wonderful flavors , great service . .

    Dumont area

You be better off eating frozen Tv dinners than eating at Mullano's in Dumont . Better service too. jmtc Go to Chez Domanique or Englewood.
  7. Yeppers, it took a real long time to open. September 2003 sounds right. well, the kiddo's are gone for the night- So , we're trying it tonight. And for the Record, Mexcalli Blues - also just reopened on Queen Anne Rd in Teaneck.

    Buffets

"However, some friends have told me of a 1 year old Asian Buffet on Main Street just off River Road in New Milford. I don't have a report, but they said some positive things about it, and it is only 1/2 mile from the new Oradell Diner" I have heard mixed reviews on this place, The problem with it or any buffet , is regarding freshness. When I drive by, there aren't many cars there... Main street is much quieter on that end-Not much traffic unless you're going to 7-11. kwim.
  9. I need a place in Northern Valley area-- for tonight--. I got a babysitter in Haworth and would prefer something other than andiamno(sic) or delmonico's . Any Ideas?
  10. I'm walking distance on the Teaneck side of Queen Anne.
  11. Try Gerdes, queen anne road , Teaneck across from Ludwig Hardware.
  12. What the F?!?! I thought they were just closed for vacation. Now I see what you mean about the non-Kosher restaurants in Teaneck closing. Well, I guess I don't have any reason to go to Teaneck anymore. This is depressing. Hey, I live in Teaneck .I'm so sad , we just took my 7yr old daughter to La Posada for special treat about a week before they closed.
  13. It's Closed- gone. It will not reopen.
  14. I worked (DJ') over 25 wedding& Parties at the Snuff Mill. It's a wonderful setting even on a cold blustery dayl but it's breathtaking in early spring & summer. http://www.nybg.org/specev/mill.html http://www.nybg.org/specev/specieldetail.html#Terrace This place used to rent out the hall- amazing place- but no no smoking, wonderful gardens. http://www.nyc-arts.org/nyc-arts/name/name...e_c/aadams.html Best of Luck .
  15. La Posada is still closed.. I am hoping that they will reopen.
