  1. We have eaten there more than a handful of times and I would agree 100% with adegiulio. You've hit it right on with this post. I have selfishly kept from posting about this restaurant. It is certainly one that should be added to everyone’s list of great area restaurants. I'm surprised it's taken this long to see it posted here.

    Wine clubs

Dan Philips at the www.gratefulpalate.com/default.asp has a number of different wine clubs including sparkling wines of the month. He is an importer who deals with some high profile Australian producers like Henrys drive, Shervington, and is the Philips part of Marquise Philips. His products are distributed by Michael Skurnik wines in N.Y. He also features some interesting food products (the soy sauce he imports is truly fantastic).
  3. Amen brother Sethro. Although I will agree with FFB about the service at the crabtree it takes them a long time to get things done.
  4. Although many brands package ventresca IMO the hands down best is Tre Torre. I have only seen it sold in one store which is in Great Bearrington MA. or on the net at Gustiamo as mentioned earlier in this thread. I have found one other source which is where I have been getting it for the past four years or so. It's a web site called http://www.buysicilian.it It's an Italian site with the best price for this product (it's still not cheap) even when you figure in the shipping. This Tuna has chunks of delicious fat attached to the meat which was described as Tuna pate by the person who started this thread. I considered not sharing this site and keeping it as my little secret but the folks at buysicilian are good people and it’s an incredible product. Besides I don’t post here much but I do follow the threads and have learned from the various people in this community. I looked at this opportunity as a way to give something back.
  5. I would just like to make clear that I do infact feel that Tocqueville is underrated.
  6. Why not, I'll play. Overrated: Craft .Lupa .San Dominico .WD50!!! .I wouldn't say that Per Se is overrated, but it was not perfection and it most certianly should have been (two courses were off. Halibut was totaly over cooked and pasta had zero seasoning). .Culinary Institute of Americas' Chef instructors (that may be a seperate thread) Underrated: .Cafe Boulud .Annisa .Tocqueville

    Max's Bad BBQ

I have allways been curious about Jenny's. Anyone have any info/comments.
  8. Thank you. That is a wonderful and acurate review of this fantastic little restaurant. I will second the suggestion on the date pudding one of the most memorible desserts I've ever had. I have not been to the bar yet, but i look foward to trying their guacamole.
  9. Twillo and the Paladium were both amazing clubs. To those I would like to add The Shelter. It was called Arc in it's last incarnation before it closed. It is where the NASA parties began. 6 Hubert street at hudson.
