  1. I was going to say I don't really get PMS cravings, then I thought about what I ate yesterday... 2 pieces of toast with lots of butter and jam, 4 slices bacon (all right, 1/2 slices) about 3 cups of hot cocoa, and 1/2 bag of Trader Joes Honey Sesame Sticks. And I'm really craving corn dogs (due to the thread on them, thank you) and fried eggs. wierd
  2. Great. Thanks everyone... Now *I'm* craving corn dogs. They were one of my favorites as a kid, I once ate 12 in one sitting. Haven't had them in a year, so time to get some more. torakris: Are you sure those were corn dogs, not some pancake-wrapped sausage on a stick? I've seen those before around here. Corn dogs should not be eaten with maple syrup, only with mustard and katsup(if you must) Edit-added second paragraph
  3. nobody's even mentioned the only oreo-spinoff I can stand (other than mint, but I'm a mint freak) and that's the coffee & Creme ones.
  4. tortilla chips with plain mayo for dip.
  5. I've been considering the Wusthof Gourmet line for my apartment. Anyone had any luck with them or know anything about them? Apparently they're cut, not forged or something.
  6. can't forget the chicken fried steak and fried eggs on the side! mmmm... my favorite breakfast. Makes me want to go to Loggers again... haven't been there in years....
  7. in beaverton- I live there and have never seen noodlehead, perhaps you are thinking of NoodleMe? it's a japanese noodle place. Some of the best miso ramen I've ever had, and their peanut sauce is awesome.
  8. Personally, I love Zout stain treater. SO far, I haven't come across anything it can't remove, even the black stuff from the bottom of the stock pot from my hand towels that OxyClean and bleach both failed to remove. I don't spill often, but when I do, it's coffee (with cream and sugar) tomato sauce, or wine. My chef's jacket is another story entirely (a bus tub handle broke once while carrying tomato sauce to the reach-in during class, smacking myself in the chest with a wooden spoon and bechamel sauce --on top of my LCB logo, not on the white part that wouldn't show) I find that I rarely spill things into my cleavage, but that is because I tend to lean over my food (and I don't have much cleavage, thank you!)
  9. My favorite hangover cure: Anything with tomatoes in it. Especially leftover spaghetti (although I love it anyway). I go out clubbing on thursdays, and always have some sauce thawed for friday morning breakfast. Especially since I'm off the green until I get a job. Otherwise it's spaghetti, coffee, and a bowl.

    Smoked chickens

Thanks everyone! I'm definately going to make stock out of the bones, and make enchiladas ( had those planned for Friday anyway, was just going to do cheese ones tho.) and maybe some salad, if I can get Mike to eat it with a real dressing, not bottled Thousand or French.
  11. Mmmmm Pocky. I like the mens' and almond crush best. I've never seen the Green tea ones at Uwajimaya (beaverton location) they sound good. I'll have to see if they'll order some for me.

    Smoked chickens

Went out to my parents' place yesterday, and took a couple of whole chickens along and smoked them. I need some ideas on what to do with them? I've cut one up and gotten the meat off the bones, the other one is still whole. I'm making chicken & biscuits tonight, and maybe a chicken & dumplings this weekend. That takes care of one. What to do with the other one? Any ideas?

    Dulce de Leche

This sounds interesting. I assume you're using sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated milk? (Just making sure... not sure what it'd do to evaporated milk)
  14. I have one of the kevlar gloves and I absolutely love it! I can feel what I'm doing better than an oven mitt, support the weight better, and not get burned. They are a bit expensive, around here I've found the cheapest ones are about $14 each. I got my mother one for christmas, and she loves it too.
  15. I gotta know...what book were you reading that took you away for over two hours?!!! I think it was Harry Potter 5, but I don't remember. I read way too much.
